This is a family business that is genuinely local and the family, the Osbornes, has a long history in the Beach that dates back to the 1940’s.

The store owners are Ernie Osborne IV, who has lived in Wasaga Beach for his entire life, and his wife Kathy who has been here for 34 years.  Ernie’s grandparents, Ernie II and Edna Osborne, first opened up a retail store down on the beachfront in 1945.  Ernie’s parents, Ernie III and Elaine Osborne, built  the Castle to operate as a retail business in 1978.

Beach BagThe family opened the Jewel Box in 1986 in a separate building.  Then in 2003 they merged the Jewel Box inside the Castle where Ernie IV and Kathy now own and run the business along with their children.

Visitors to the Jewel Box are rewarded with an enviable array of gift ideas for all occasions and new decor items added in every season.
