Wasaga Beach Shoreline Clean-up: Be The Solution to Plastic Pollution

The environment plays an important role in healthy living and the existence of life on planet Earth. We are all dependent on the environment for food, fibre, air, water and other vital needs. There are countless ways that Rotarians can address these needs globally and locally.

One of the ways the Rotary Club of Wasaga Beach, in concert with Georgian Bay Forever, is addressing this need, is by organizing a “safe” shoreline cleanup project on the shores of Wasaga Beach.

Trash, plastics, and other littered items plague our waterways.  More than 22 million pounds (48.4 million kilograms) of trash and plastic pollution ends up in the Great Lakes each year.

Join our Wasaga Beach Shoreline Cleanup and help pick-up trash on July 5 and 19 and August 9 and 23 from 9 to 11 am at Beach Area 3.

Please wear your masks. Gloves will be provided.  We look forward to seeing you. Email brooke.harrison@gbf.org to sign up
